The Bear Mountain in Waterton Lakes National Park resembles a bear that looks over the motel, hence the name of the motel. The client wanted to show the resemblance to the bear in the logo so I began by creating sketches to capture the look of a sleeping bear within the mountain. I then chose an appropriate font and replaced the cross of the "A" with claw marks to tie together the drawing and the font of the logo.

Bear Mountain Motel is located in the small village of Waterton in Waterton Lakes National Park, Alberta, Canada. It is a quiet little motel tucked in amongst the Rocky Mountains.
